London Fashion Week Street Style

We are still standing strong with Fashion Month and this week it was London’s turn to show us what they got. I feel like London’s style is a bit more classy, it is like New York really stylish mother. But who doesn’t love a classy and formal look every now and then? If this is your case here are a few ideas you can pick from London Fashion Week:

Todavía estamos fuertemente parados en el mes de la moda y está semana le toca a Londres para mostrarnos que tiene para nosotros. Siento que el estilo de Londres es un poco más clásico como la mamá canchera de New York. Pero, ¿A quién no le gusta un estilo clásico y formal de vez en cuando? Si este es tu caso, acá hay un par de ideas que elegí del estilo de London Fashion Week:

Always trust denim

Denim is always around, no matter what town, no matter what time of the year, you can always trust denim. Denim can be too plain for some, so I always try to pair is with something extra like a nice jacket or some patterns.

El jean siempre está cerca, no importa qué ciudad, no importa en qué época del año, siempre podes confiar en el jean. Aveces la ropa de jean puede ser simple, siempre trato de agregar algo más cómo una campera o algún estampado.

We are borrowing dresses

Colors are everywhere this season from red to violet. We are moving on from the normal plain colors for fall and stepping on a colorful trend, we are bringing spring into fall. But apparently colors are not the only trend we are borrowing from spring, dresses are too!

Los colores están en todas partes esta temporada, de rojo a violeta. Estamos pasando los colores normales y aburridos y nos paramos en una tendencia más colorida, trajimos la primavera al otoño. Pero parece que los colores no son lo único que traemos al otoño, los vestidos también.

One color many shades

Since colors are a big trend this season, why not using one for the whole outfit? Let's skip the part where we question who matches who and just do the whole outfit one color! And let's even go as far as adding different shade of the color. Seems like a good go to trend for days where we are too lazy to match.

Ya que los colores son una gran tendencia esta temporada, ¿por qué no usar todo un outfit con uno de ellos? Saltemos cuestionarnos quién combina con quien, y hagamos todo el outfit de un solo color. Y vayamos más lejos y combinemos diferentes tonos. Parece que una buena tendencia para cuando no tenemos muchas ganas de combinar.

New York Fashion Week Part 2

Anna Sui

I haven't heard about this designer before but I love her dresses. This are definitely not my style but I really appreciate how they were made. They seem so unique and very detailed.

No había escuchado de está diseñadora hasta está semana, pero me encantan sus vestidos. Estos vestidos no son mi estilo pero me encanta cómo están hechos. Parecen tan únicos y detallados.

Calvin Klein

I love Calvin Klein. They are honestly one of my favorite brands, they are just so perfect. I really love how he play with this fabric this time (I am not sure what it is, it doesn't seem like leather). Calvin truly covers everything, formal and casual wear, as well as underwear (personal favorite).

Me encanta Calvin Klein. Es honestamente una de mis marcas favoritas, son simplemente perfectos. Me encanta cómo jugó con está tela esta vez (no estoy segura, que es porque no es cuero). Calvin realmente cubre todo: formal, casual y hasta ropa interior (mi favorita).

Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott is always so colorful and extra and I love it! He's always so creative and this time it was his 20th anniversary, so congratulations to him!

Jeremy Scott siempre hace outfits muy coloridos y extra, me encantan. Siempre es muy creativo  y esta vez era su aniversario número 20, ¡Felicidades a él!

Marc Jacobs

I was never a big fan of Marc Jacobs but this year the different patterns called my attention. I love this year clothes, there have been so many new patterns this season and Marc Jacobs followed along!

Nunca fui muy fan de Marc Jacobs pero este año los diferentes estampados me llamaron la atención. Ame la ropa este año, hay tantos estampados nuevos esta temporada y Marc Jacobs también se involucró.

Prabal Gurung

Another new designer for me! I saw this one on Instagram and I really like the dress. Also, I was so happy when I saw Ashley Graham was part of the show. The dresses are so unique to be honest and I love it.

Otro diseñador nuevo para mi. Lo vi en Instagram y me gustaron muchísimo sus vestidos. Además, me encantó ver a Ashley Graham desfilando. Los vestidos son muy únicos la verdad y me encanta.

Public School

I love Public School. They always give streetwear a new twist and I truly love it. They never go too much but they always manage to catch your attention.

Me encanta Public School.  Siempre le da una vuelta al estilo de calle y me encanta. Nunca son de demostrar mucho, siempre simple pero captando la atención si o si.

Zadig & Voltaire

My sister introduced me to this brand earlier this year while we were in Europe. I love their grunge style really caught my eye and I’ve been obsessed since then. Their vibes are always much casual but extremely stylish.

Mi hermana me introdujo a está marca a principio de año en Europa. Me encanta su estilo grudge, me atraparon bastante y me obsesione desde ahí. Tienen una onda muy casual pero con mucho estilo.

New York Fashion Week Part 1

Even though I love NYFW street style, I also love watching the designers dress and ideas, also dreaming about wearing them. I went over pictures and pictures of the shows trying to find my favorites but there were so many I decided to dive this in two posts, the first one (this one) is bit more formal, not your average everyday wear (is anything in NYFW your average everyday wear?). Anyways here are a few of my favorites:

Aunque me encanta el estilo de calle de NYFW, tambien me gusta ver los vestidos de los diseñadores y las ideas, además de soñar con usarlos. Mire fotos y fotos de los diferentes desfiles tratando de buscar mis favoritos pero había tantos que tuve que dividirlo en dos posts, el primero (esté) siendo un poco más formal, y no la ropa que usas todos los días (¿Hay algo en NYFW que sea para todos los días?). Igualmente, acá hay algunos de mis favoritos:

Brandon Maxwell

I saw Karlie Kloss closing the show in that beautiful Cinderella like dress (even though I am not a big Disney princess fan) and I was in love. I haven’t heard about the designer before and when I started seeing the dresses from the show I loved them all. You can tell the pink and red trend I mentioned in my previous post are still present even in the runway. Vi a Karlie Kloss cerrar el desfile con este vestido estilo Cenicienta y estaba enamorado (y eso que no soy fan de las princesas de Disney). Nunca había escuchado de este diseñador antes y cuando empecé a ver los vestidos del desfile me enamore de todos. Podes notar que la tendencia rosa y roja que mencione en mi post anterior también están presentes en la pasarela.

Carolina Herrera

Throwback to back in High School when my friend and I would joke about going over to Carolina Herrera just to cry at how beautiful everything was. I love Carolina Herrera (are you surprise since Karlie Kloss is in their fragrance ads?). Their dresses are always so classy and feminine, I love them. She always loves to experiment with the pattern and mixing them up.

Me encanta Carolina Herrera (¿Sorprendidos ya que Karlie Kloss hace la publicidad para su perfume?). Me hace acordar a cuando estaba en el colegio con mis amigas y decíamos de ir a Carolina Herrera a llorar porque todo era tan lindo. Sus vestidos siempre son clásicos y femeninos, me encanta. Siempre está experimentando con diferentes estampados y mezclando.

Christian Siriano

I’ve been following this designer for a while and I was so in love with his dresses. When I saw the diversity on his show, I knew I love him even more. It's so important to bring out models of different shapes and races, to prove fashion is for everyone and he nailed it.  His dresses always look so classy but ready for any occasion which makes them so amazing.

Sigo a está diseñador hace un tiempo, y me encantan sus vestidos. Cuando vi lo diverso que era su show, sabia que lo ama todavía más. Es tan importante poner modelos de diferentes razas y figuras para demostrar que la moda es para todos y el lo logro. Sus vestidos son siempre muy clásicos pero listos para cualquier ocasión lo cual los hacen increíbles.

Jason Wu

Transparency has been a big trend lately and Jason Wu put it on his dresses. This dresses are a bit less formal than the rest but I’m as obsessed. I found transparency so amazing, I love to wear shirts like this to add more fun to a plain outfit.

Las transparencias son una gran tendencia últimamente y Jason Wu lo puso en sus vestidos. Estos vestidos son un poco más informales que el resto pero estoy obsesionada. Encuentro la transparencia increíble, me gusta usarlo en remeras para agregarle algo a un outfit normal.

Marchesa

Oh Marchesa, how I love this designer. Even the name sounds like a fairytale, sounds like Paris to me (Is this my synthesia speaking or do you all feel this?). I honestly thing I found my dream dress here, all of this dresses are a dream. Marchesa is so elegant so unique, I feel like every little bit is taken care and put in place just to be there, nothing is extra and nothing is less. Yes I adore it.

Ay, Marchesa, cómo amo este diseñador. Hasta su nombre suena de un cuento de hadas, suena a París para mi (¿está es mi sinestesia o todos siento esto?). Honestamente, creo que encontre mi vestido perfecto, todo estos vestidos son muy lindos. Los de Marchesa siempre son tan elegantes, tan únicos. Siento que se encargan de todo, cada detalle está pensado, nada de más y nada menos. Si, lo amo.

Oscar de la Renta

I always associated Oscar de la Renta with princess like gowns but after seeing their show this year I’ve notice they do a different style as well and I love it! Again, more color this year, fashion designer are bringing pink and red but we also have some pop of yellow. Their dresses are a dream, like are they even real?!

Siempre relacione Oscar de la Renta con vestidos cómo de princesa pero después de ver su show este año me di cuenta que tiene otros estilos también y me encanta. Una vez más, los diseñadores está poniendo rosa y rojo en los desfiles pero también Oscar de la Renta agregó amarillo. Sus vestidos son increíbles, ¿son reales?

Ralph Lauren

I saw this show from Instagram and I was like: are those cars?! Apparently the show took place in Ralph Lauren’s garage and this are all his cars! Ralph Lauren seems to be experimenting  with new patterns and I really love it. Being honest the first few looks I wasn't sure but then these ones really caught my eyes. And again the suits are so beautiful.

Vi el desfile en Instagram  y me quede: ¿eso son autos? El show fue en el garaje de Ralph Lauren y podias ver toda sus coleccio de autos. El diseñador parece que está experimentando con estampados y me encanta. La verdad es que los primeros no me gustaron mucho pero después me atraparon. Y de vuelta con los trajes, son muy lindos.

Top Trends from NYFW

It’s that time of the year again, yes, fashion month. Like any other fashion fan, my eyes are glue to Vogue and every single model and It girl Instagram story. We are already done with our first big Fashion Week which is New York. New York has always been my favorite one because it brings all the quirky side of the city to fashion, nobody here is a shame to wear anything. Even though I love watching the shows, I also love the street style. I am a big sucker for street style in general but New York Fashion Week always makes sure to go over the top. Here are a few trends I’ve noticed:

Es esa época del año otra vez, si, el mes de la moda. Cómo toda fan de la moda, mis ojos están pegados a Vogue y a todos los Instastory de las  modelos e It girls. Ya terminamos con la primera gran semana de la moda que es en New York. New York siempre va a ser mi favorita, porque trae todo eso que tiene de bizarro la ciudad y lo pone en la moda, nadie acá tiene miedo de usar cualquier cosa. Aunque me encanta ver los shows, tambien me encanta el estilo de la calle. Soy muy fan de cualquier estilo de calle en general, pero New York Fashion Week siempre se asegura de ir más allá. Acá hay un par de tendencias que note:

Red, you are up

Red has been such a big color this season and it seems like we are starting autumn (spring for me) with this color. What I love about this look is how red can add a touch of color to any plain outfit making it more fun plus it looks good with basically anything!

El color rojo ha sido una gran color esta temporada y parece que empezamos el otoño con este color (primavera para mí). Lo que me encanta del rojo es que le puede dar un toque de color a cualquier outfit, haciéndolos más divertidos y básicamente queda bien con todo.

Pink is for everyone

I’ve been such a lover of this trend, feels like I am back when I was 6 years old and everything I owned was pink. Growing up I was never much of a pink lover but now that I am past the teenage years and thinking “pink is for little girls” I love pink. Pink has that same vibe as the red color where you can match with anything and it adds so much fun to any outfits. I also love how we are not shy about using it everywhere, pants, shirts or an all pink outfit!

Está tendencia me encanto, siento que tengo de vuelta 6 años y todo lo que tengo es rosa. Al crecer nunca me gusto el rosa pero ahora que pasaron esos años de la adolescencia donde pensas “el rosa es para nenas chiquitas”, me encanta. El rosa tiene la misma onda que el rojo que lo podes combinar con cualquier cosas y le agrega algo divertido a los outfits. Me encanta cómo no somos tímidos con el color y lo implementamos en todos lados: pantalón, remeras, o todo rosa.

Always trust the black

Aw yes, I love a good all black outfit. I probably wear all black 6 out of 7 days a week. However, I love how all this ladies still add a pop of white with the shoes, the best way to add a touch of something to an all black outfit. Also, that jumpsuit? Amazing.

Aww si, me encanta un outfit todo negro. Creo que uso todo negro 6 de los 7 días de la semana. Igualmente, me encanta cómo estas chicas le agregaron un toque de color con los zapatos blancos, la mejor manera para romper un poco con todo negro. Además, ¿Ese enterizo? Increíble.

All the blazers out

I’ve been noticing blazers are pretty big this fall season. I’ve seen so many bloggers wearing them and nobody is shy about it! Whether they are colorful or plaid or a simple black one, everyone is wearing one.

Me estoy dando cuenta que lo blazers están muy a la moda esta temporada de otoño. Veo muchas bloggers usandolos y nadie es tímido al respecto. Si son coloridos, con cuadros o negros, todas los usan.

Flowers are blooming in Autumn

Floral dress are around every spring, but fashion icons are bringing them this autumn as well. I’ve always been a fan but never in autumn, autumn feels like more chunky sweaters and leggings. However, I am ready to get my hands of this dresses this next fall.

Los vestidos con flores están en todas partes en la primavera, pero los iconos de la moda los trajeron para el otoño también. Siempre fui muy fan, pero no en otoño, otoño es más para sweaters y calzas. Igualmente, estoy lista para agregar un par este otoño.

What really captivated me about this blog was the name. I mean her blog also has Tea in the name which probably means she loves tea as much as me. What I love about her content are her pictures, they are so pretty and her writing is so unique. Also, Rita’s style is stunning!

Lo que más me llamó la atención de este blog fue el nombre. O sea su blog tiene “tea (té)” en el nombre, lo que probablemente significa que le encanta el té cómo a mí. Lo que me gusta de este contenidos son las fotos, son muy lindas y la manera en la que escribe es brillante. Además del estilo muy lindo que tiene Rita.

Blossom Ikebana

I’ve been following Pau for a while now and I love her blog. She just writes about everything and I love bloggers who allowed themselves to explore more. Also, love how she writes in Spanish and English (like moi) and of course I have to support my fellow Argentinean, hopefully one day we’ll actually meet!

La sigo a Pau hace un rato y me encanta su blog. Escribe de todo y me encanta las bloggers que se anima a explorar más. Además, me encanta que escriba en español y en inglés (¡como yo!) y obviamente tengo que apoyar a mi compañero argentina. ¡Capaz a algún día nos conozcamos!

Love Style Mindfulness

Another fashion blog, are you surprise? To be honest I love reading bloggers and finding new fashion blog to get inspiration for outfits and to see what to buy next. Sinead has an amazing style I’m always pinning her outfits on pinterest for inspiration. What I truly love about her though, is the fact that she mixes mindfulness with fashion. I’ve been trying to be more mindfulness myself (it is not as easy as it seems) and her contagious vibes makes me want to pick up on this lifestyle more and more.

Otro blog de moda, ¿están sorprendidos? La verdad es que me encanta leer bloggers y encontrar nuevos blogs de moda para inspirar con mis outfits y ver que puedo comprar. Sinead tiene un estilo increíble, siempre estoy guardando en pinterest sus outfits para inspirarme. Lo que en serio me encanta  es que mezcla tener la atención plena (mindfulness) con la moda. Estoy tratando de estar más presente (no es tan fácil como parece) y su onda contagiosa me dan ganas de seguir ese estilo de vida cada vez más.
