March Style Crush: Romee Strijd

Hello and welcome back to another monthly style crush. This might be my favorite posts because it means I get to see outfits ideas and inspiration for an entire day. Today, I chose Romee Strijd. Romee is a Dutch Victoria Secret Angel who also vlogs her daily life and shows her outfits (my favorite part). Here are a few of my favorites:

Hola y bienvenidos a otro segmento de style crush. Creo que estos posts son de mis favoritos porque me la paso mirando ropa de gente e inspirándome. Hoy, elegí a Romee Strijd. Romee es una Victoria Secret Angel holandesa que también hace vlogs de su vida donde muestra sus outfits. Acá hay un par de mis favoritos:

Black with a touch of color

Romee loves a good all black outfit, as we all do. But she makes sure to add some color with a jacket or a white shirt to make it a bit more fun.

A Romee le encanta un outfit todo negro, como a todos nosotros. Pero ella se asegura de agregarle color con una camera o una remera blanca para que sea más divertido.

Denim on denim or just on anything

My favorite part of her denim style is that it is always so different. Like her pants in the first picture is so unique and of course, denim on denim looks amazing.

Mi parte favorita de su estilo de jeans es que son siempre diferentes. Como en la segunda foto, su jean es tan único y obvio que el jean con jean queda increíble.

Bring out the fluffy coat

I am honestly so in love with these coats. I really want colder weather to get my hands on one of them. I love how Romee is not afraid to try different ones with vibrant colors.

Estoy honestamente muy enamorada de estas camperas. Estoy esperando que haga más frío para comprarme una. Me encanta que Romee no tenga miedo de probar distintas con colores más fuertes.

Red carpet ready

I love Romee’s red carpet looks. They are always so elegant and show her body so nicely. I also love suits on women so these looks were defiantly my favorites of hers.

Siempre me gustó el estilo de Romee en la alfombra roja. Son muy elegantes y muestra su cuerpo muy bien. Además, de que me encanta como quedan los trajes en las mujeres, así que estos estilos son de mis favoritos.

Laid back

If you watch Romee’s vlog you’ll notice how relax and laid back most of her looks are. I love how she is always so comfortable but looks so fashionable by adding a coat or a jacket.

Si ves los vlogs de Romee te vas a dar cuenta de que su estilo es relajado. Me encanta como siempre esta esta cómoda, pero a la moda agregándole una campera.

Showing off legs

It is not surprising here that like any VS Angel Romee’s has legs for days and she makes sure she shows them. I love her outfits with skirt and boots combo.

No nos sorprende que como todo VS Angel Romee tiene piernas increíbles y se asegura de mostrarlas. Me encantan sus outfits de polleras con botas.

Favorite Oscar Looks

First, hi, hello. I am alive. I went MIA like I usually do when its exam period to concentrate on my finals. But I am back! And today I want to talk about the Oscars. I’m not going to mention the winners because I am a bit sad a few of my favorites didn’t win. But I did get excited about the Latin-American representation present on the awards. Anyways, I went through all the after party and red-carpet pictures and picked a few of my favorites outfits:

Primero, hola. Estoy viva. Desaparecí como siempre en las épocas de exámenes para concentrarme en ellos. ¡Pero volví! Y hoy quiero hablar de los Oscars. No voy a mencionar a los ganadores porque estoy un poco triste que algunos de mis favoritos no hayan ganado. Pero si me emocionó toda la representación latinoamericana que hubo en los premios. Más allá de eso, investigué todas las fotos de la fiesta y la alfombra roja y elegí algunos de mis estilos favoritos:

Black with details

Black has been a big color these past awards shows, for the Time’s up movement. Different women have found different ways to show their support and look amazing. I love the idea of wearing black and adding details in different colors or patterns.

Negro con detalles. El negro ha sido un color muy presente en los últimos premios, por el movimiento Time’s up. Diferentes mujeres buscaron diferentes formas de mostrar su apoyo y verse increíble. Me encanta la idea de usar negro y agregarle detalles de diferentes colores o diseños.

Yellow mellow

Yellow looks like it’s coming at full force this season. I’ve been noticing it everywhere in the stores and I really like it. I struggle a bit with it, due to my skin complexion but I might give it a try.

Amarillo suave.  Parece que el amarrillo viene con fuerza esta temporada. Me estoy dando cuenta que lo veo en todos los negocios y me gusta mucho. Me cuesta un poco por mi tono de piel, pero capaz lo pruebe este año.

Matching the red carpet

Matching the red carpet is no big deal these days, everyone is doing it and everyone looks amazing. Red was big last year after everyone started sporting the Louis Vuitton black and red bags and finding ways to match it. I hope to see more of red these next seasons.

Combinado con la alfombra roja. Combinar con la alfombra roja no es una gran cosa estos días, todos lo hacen y se ven increíbles. El rojo fue bastante fuerte el año pasado después de que Louis Vuitton haya sacado las carteras rojas y negras y la gente buscaba diferentes maneras para combinarlas. Espero ver más rojo esta temporada.

Keeping the pastels

Pastels were also a huge trend last year. Looks like they are staying. I did mention before that I love this trend and I am so happy to see it around.  The soft colors always look warm and delicate.

Manteniendo los pasteles.  Los colores pasteles fueron una tendencia muy grande el año pasado. Parece que se quedan este año también.  Mencione antes que me encanta esta tendencia y estoy muy feliz que siga por aquí.  Los colores suaves siempre parecen muy cálidos y delicados.

Now, this trend is something rather new. I have been seeing so many people wearing little shiny details or even an entire outfit. And I love it! It really does add up to an outfit and I might pick up a few ideas for my outfits.

Brillando como un Oscar. Esta tendencia si es nueva. He visto a muchas personas usando un poco de detalles con brillos o hasta todo un outfit. ¡Me encanta! Le agrega mucho a un outfit y voy a tomar un par de ideas para mis outfits.

Keeping it nude, keeping it classy

Nude is a such a timeless trend. You can never go wrong with a nude dress. What I love about this how they are all unique in their own way, they might all be nude, but they are all so different.

Manteniéndolo nude, manteniéndolo clásico.  La tendencia nude es una eterna. No podés estar mal con un vestido nude.  Lo que me encanta de estos vestidos es como son todos únicos a su propia manera, todos son nudes, pero son muy diferentes.

January Style Crush: Luanna from Le-Happy

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a fan of grunge style. The grunger I look the more I like it. And here is the inspiration behind most of my style: Luanna. The second that I found her blog I fell in love with her style and hair. Luanna manages to always look grudge no matter what the season or the occasion and I love it. Here are a few of my favorite looks:

Cualquiera que me conoce sabe que me encanta el estilo grunge. Entre más grunge sea más me gusta. Y acá esta la inspiración detrás de mi estilo: Luanna. El segundo que encontré su blog me enamoré de su estilo y su pelo. Luanna siempre tiene una onda grudge sin importar la ocasión o la estación y me encanta. Acá hay algunos de mis estilos favoritos:

Chunky Sweater

I love the way she layers the sweaters with the scarf. It makes such a cozy look for the winter.

Me encanta como le agrega capas al sweater con la bufanda. Es un estilo muy acogedor para el invierno.

Denim

Blue denim seems like the anti- grudge. But adding combat boots or this style of t-shirts or even a bralette gives it a grunge vibe.

El jean azul para ser lo anti-grudge. Pero agregándole botas o una remera de este estilo o hasta un bralette le da un estilo grunge.

Long Dress

Even though these do not look grunge, I love the styles. She always manages to find beautiful dresses and I am always looking forward to seeing what she wears to an event.

Aunque estos estilos no son muy grunge, me encantan. Siempre encuentra los vestidos más lindos y siempre estoy esperando para ver que va a usar en un evento.

Overalls

I love overalls and the way she styles them is amazing. I still don’t have the confidence to wear them with a crop top but maybe one day I’ll try it. Also, print overalls are beautiful and so unique.

Me encanta los jardineros y la manera en que ellas los usa es increíble. Todavía no tengo la confianza para usarlos con una remera corta pero quizás algún día sí. Además, jardineros con estampados son muy lindos y únicos.

T-shirt dress

I love love t-shirt dress. I want to get my hands on some really bad but I can never seem to find the right one. I love how they look with knee-high boots!

Me encanta las remeras vestidos. Quiero comprarme una pero nunca encuentro un estilo que me guste. Me encantan como quedan con botas hasta las rodillas.

2017 Trends to Keep in 2018

Fashion in 2017 was weird. We had the 90s looks back which is awesome but there were so many trends that you looked at them and were like: ???. But we are pushing those aside and focusing on the bright side here. I picked my favorite trends which I believe we should keep this year, and maybe a few years more.

La moda en 2017 fue extraña. La moda de los 90 volvió lo cual es increíble, pero hubo muchas tendencias que las miraba y me quedaba: ¿? Pero vamos a dejar de lado y enfocarnos en lo bueno. Elegí mis tendencias favoritas las cuales creo que deberíamos mantener este año y quizás a un par de año más.

Plaid blazers

I love this trend and I’m terrified of trying it. The second I saw Luanna from Le-Happy with this blazer I was obsessed. But then during fashion week, everyone was wearing it in different ways and I was like: holy shit I need to run to the mall to get one.

Me encanto esta tendencia, pero también me dio miedo probarla. El segundo que la vi a Luanna de Le-Happy con este blazer me obsesioné. Pero después durante Fashion Week todo el mundo lo uso de diferentes maneras y fue como: necesito correr al shopping a comprarme uno.

Fishnets tights

I kept seeing this all over my Instagram (Kylie Jenner I see you) and I was like: do I hate it? Love it? And I decided to love it. I even drove myself to the mall one day and bought a pair. I must be honest I haven’t worn it much because it is too hot here but they honestly look amazing. I love them with ripped jeans or crop tops.

Veía estas por todo mi Instagram (Kylie Jenner a vos te hablo) y me pensaba: ¿la odio? ¿Me gusta? Y decidí que me gustaba. Hasta fui hasta un shopping a comprarme un par un día. Tengo que ser honesta y decir que no las uso tanto porque hace mucho calor acá, pero me encantan como quedan. Me encanta con jeans rotos y remeras cortas.

Millennial pink

You can tell by my blog that I love pink. This idea of calling it millennial pink is so amazing, to be honest. Like I was recently talking to my mom about how funny this was. But honestly, this tone of pink is so beautiful and I did get a few things which hopefully would still be in this year and I do want more things in in this color.

Te das cuenta por mi blog que me encanta el rosa. La idea de llamarlo millenial pink me pareció increíble la verdad. Estaba hablando con mi mama hace poco sobre lo gracioso que es que le digan así. Pero honestamente, este tono de rosa es muy lindo y me compré un par de cosas de este color que espero poder seguir usando este año y comprarme más de este tono este año.

Sneakers

I feel like every brand was coming with new sneakers this year and they were all amazing. Like I wanted the Puma Fenty ones, the Nike Air Force One, and I already had Adidas Superstars and NMD. I love this trend for the fact that it was so comfortable. Not only you could wear sneakers with everything but just be comfortable.

Siento que todas las marcas sacaron zapatillas nuevas este año y todas eran increíbles. Quería las Puma Fenty, las Nike Air Force, y ya tenía las Adidas Superstars y NMD. Me encanta esta moda porque era muy cómoda. No solo usabas zapatillas con todo, pero siempre estabas cómoda.

Women crush November: Josephine Skriver

The Victoria Secret Show is just around the corner and if you are a huge fan like me, you’ve been seeing all the angels getting ready. All the angel’s train hard and prepare for the show, but being honest one of my favorite angels is Josephine Skriver. Maybe is the fact that she’s Danish or her social media fill with positive message and interaction with fans. But what truly caught my eye from Josephine is her style, whether is on the red carpet or in the gym she always looks amazing.

El desfile de Victoria Secret está muy cerca y si sos fan como yo, estás viendo como las angels se prepararán. Todas las angels entran duro y se preparan para el desfile, pero para ser honesta mi angel favorita es Josephine Skriver. Capaz, es el hecho de que es danesa o de que sus redes sociales están llenas de mensaje positivo e interacción con sus fans. Pero más que nada lo que me llamo la atención de Josephine es su estilo, tanto como en la alfombra roja como para ir al gimnasio siempre tiene mucho estilo.

Formal look

Josephine always makes sure her best feature is the center of attention: her legs. She wears a long dress with big cutouts or suits that really show her long legs like the VS angels that she is.

Josephine siempre se asegura que su mejor rasgo sea el centro de atención: sus piernas. Siempre usa vestidos largos con cortes o trajes que muestran sus piernas largas como el VS angel que es.

Blue denim and colorful denim

Denim is in no matter what time of the year, what year or what month. But light denim and colorful denim has been really sticking out lately. Josephine Skriver always makes sure to rock it and even the double denim trend.

Denim está a la moda no importa la época del año, no importa el año ni el mes. Pero denim más claro y de color esta más de moda últimamente. Josephine Skriver siempre se asegura de usarlo y hasta de combinar el doble denim.

Sky high boots

Knee high boots were the reason why I fell in love with her style. I love these boots and always wish I was taller to be able to use them. Of course, Josephine can rock them so effortless and casual.

Botas hasta las rodillas son la razón por la cual me enamore del estilo de Josephine. Me encantan estas botas y desearía ser más altas para usarlas. Obvio, que Josephine las usa sin esfuerzo y casualmente.

Bralettes out

Of course, being a Victoria Secret model, you will jump to the bralettes as shirt trend. Not only do I love the bralettes but the way she manages to style them to make them look classy and casual.

Obviamente que siendo una modelo de Victoria Secret vas a saltar a la moda de bralettes como remeras. No solo amo los bralettes, pero la manera en que los usa siempre parece más casual y clásicos.

Keeping it warm

We can’t keep up with what coat to pull out these years because it seems like every single day a new coat or jacket is in. But looks like Josephine is not shy to try them all: leather, fur or bombers.

No Podemos estar al día con que campera o tapado hay que sacar cada año, porque todos los días una nueva campera está de moda. Pero parece que Josephine no es tímida cuando se trata de probar diferentes abrigos: cuero, piel, o bombers.
