A letter to 2015

Dear 2015,
You have been a crazy year. From day one I knew you were a hard one. You weren’t the best year, I’m sorry but it is the truth. You were just one of those year where one month I felt like I was at the top of the world and the next I didn’t want to go out of my room at all. You were not an easy year.
You are of those year that looking back I will realize I experienced a lot of things for the first time. Things that were scary at first, or I could not wrapped my head around to it. I went to my first club in 2015 and actually enjoyed myself. I had my heart broken for the first time, but before this I experience that feeling of caring so much for someone like I never did before. I experienced real failure for the first time and how much it can hurt. I experience winning money for my own, I made on my own for the first time. Finally, I experience, the heart breaking feeling of knowing you won’t see someone you’ve know your entire life, ever again.
This new experiences came with different lessons. I learned how much friend’s means and how no one, absolutely no one should come between you and a friend. I learned that is ok to like someone a lot and want to fall in love even if it will hurt later. I learn that parties are ok and seeing people drink and smoke is normal. I learn that college is based on experience and we are all going to fail at one point or another. I also learn little things, like how to separate different color clothes before washing them. I learn that living alone is more than staying up until whenever you want. I learn that it is totally fine to call your mom crying and that your bathroom will flood. Lastly, I learned that family comes first, and to enjoy every second you have with them, because you never know when it is the last time.
2015, you were a year I will not remember with pain but a year I will remember by everything I learn and experience. So dear 2015, thank you for everything I learn and everything I experience, but I’m hoping 2016 will be better and I just have a feeling it will be my year, thanks to all the new experience 2015 has given me and all the lessons learn.
Love

10 things that made me happy in 2015

2015 was a strange year. I would defiantly call it a roller coaster kind of year. A lot of things change, I did mostly. Even though the last two months were the hardest, the rest of the year was really something and to look on the bright side here are 10 things that made me happy this year.

1.       Moving back to Buenos Aires. It was defiantly scary step in my life, and I’m still pretty shake by this big step. It was really something I needed to do and I’m glad I did.

2.       Starting university. Another scary step that happened this year. It was hard to be honest, a lot of time studying and I did fall a lot, but I was able to get up and move forward.

3.       New friends. I met so many people this year and everyone was so amazing. I’m so happy I met all the people I did this year. All of them have teach me something and some have become a big part in my life.

4.       Punta Del Este. I travel to Punta Del Este last September and I fell in love with that place. Since I love traveling to new places, I had a great time. I really can’t wait to go back.

5.       We color. Last month, my friends and I went to the We Color, which in case you don’t know what it is, it is a festival where people throw color dusts at each other and the music was also pretty amazing. My friends and I spent the whole day running, and dancing around cover in colorful dust.

6.       Tattoo. This year I finally got my first tattoo. It was something I’ve been wanting since I was probably thirteen and I finally did it. Not only was a great experience but it is something meaningful to me that I will carry around forever.

7.       Going out. I started going out this year to parties, clubs, and bars with my friends. I used to hate to go out but now I can honestly say I love it. I love meeting new people and having crazy adventures with my friends. (Picture was taken at 6 am in Buenos Aires while we were walking back to a van to take us home, I was with a friend and someone I had no idea who he was).

8.       Ed Sheeran concert. Ever since I found his music I was dying to go to one of his concert and earlier this year I did. It was really one of the best concert I’ve ever been, he is someone who puts so much passion to his music and his talent is extraordinary.

9.       Hair. This year I cut my hair really short, shorter than ever. I’ve been wanting to do this for so long and never had the guts to do it, and I finally did this year and I loved it so much. I’m glad I finally to the chance.

10.   Elections. I’ve mention this before, but nothing makes me happier than knowing my country is finally going through a big change.
What made you happy this year?
Love

2015 Resolutions!

Hello everyone! I know I’m a Little late on this but I thought it was a little cliché to do a post about my New Year resolutions and bla bla. But since I’ve been away and had a lot of time to think  and I’ve watched a lot
of people’s new year resolutions I thought I write mine here, to share and as a reminder for myself.

1.       Take more pictures.
I know this sounds weird, but I’ve realized I don’t take enough pictures, even if it of the random thing or if they come out bad I want to take pictures. Also, the fact that I got an Fujifilm Instax I’ve been waiting to save my papers for special occasions but I’ve realized I want to use them all and just take pictures with my polaroid. Also, I’ve been going to Urban Outfitters and dying to buy a photography book to learn more.
2.       Keep writing
And by writing I mean everything, from my journal to my story. So last year was the year I actually started a story I have become truly attached and I love, I want to continue with this. I also want to continue with the blog all year, as well as most of my poems and my journal where all my thoughts are put in.
3.       Be more independent
Last year resolution was to learn how to drive, which I did. But I’m so scared of getting behind the wheel and this year I have promise myself and my family to actually practice more and go out with the car. I want to allow myself to be more independent and not have anyone driving me around.
4.       Be healthy
I’m so happy what I have reached based on my health last year. I manage to go to the gym and eat better. So, this year I want to improve this and stay on the right track. Since it is going to be such a hard and New Year I want my health to be fine.
5.       More adventures
In 2014 I spent so many days stuck at home because I felt like there was nothing out there. I wanted to do something new and I couldn’t find it. This year I want to do something crazy, I want to be able to see new things and explore more.
6.       Stay on track with school
I was in the Honor Roll and got a good grade on my International exam last year so I want this year to be the same, because of the joy and happiness I felt about achieving all this. I want my first year of college to be good and to get good grades.
7.       Save money
And with this one I go back to number 5. I want to save money to be able to do more things. I want to travel with my friends at the end of the year, and for this I need to save money.

So this are my resolutions, what are yours? What do you want for this year?
Love
Pili
