January Style Crush: Luanna from Le-Happy

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a fan of grunge style. The grunger I look the more I like it. And here is the inspiration behind most of my style: Luanna. The second that I found her blog I fell in love with her style and hair. Luanna manages to always look grudge no matter what the season or the occasion and I love it. Here are a few of my favorite looks:

Chunky Sweater

I love the way she layers the sweaters with the scarf. It makes such a cozy look for the winter.

Me encanta como le agrega capas al sweater con la bufanda. Es un estilo muy acogedor para el invierno.

Denim

Blue denim seems like the anti- grudge. But adding combat boots or this style of t-shirts or even a bralette gives it a grunge vibe.

El jean azul para ser lo anti-grudge. Pero agregándole botas o una remera de este estilo o hasta un bralette le da un estilo grunge.

Long Dress

Even though these do not look grunge, I love the styles. She always manages to find beautiful dresses and I am always looking forward to seeing what she wears to an event.

Aunque estos estilos no son muy grunge, me encantan. Siempre encuentra los vestidos más lindos y siempre estoy esperando para ver que va a usar en un evento.

Overalls

I love overalls and the way she styles them is amazing. I still don’t have the confidence to wear them with a crop top but maybe one day I’ll try it. Also, print overalls are beautiful and so unique.

Me encanta los jardineros y la manera en que ellas los usa es increíble. Todavía no tengo la confianza para usarlos con una remera corta pero quizás algún día sí. Además, jardineros con estampados son muy lindos y únicos.

I love love t-shirt dress. I want to get my hands on some really bad but I can never seem to find the right one. I love how they look with knee-high boots!

Me encanta las remeras vestidos. Quiero comprarme una pero nunca encuentro un estilo que me guste. Me encantan como quedan con botas hasta las rodillas.

Karlie Kloss. How do I begin to explain Karlie Kloss? *Cue the Mean Girls characters talking about Regina George*. Ok, but no, because Karlie is defiantly nicer than Regina George. Whenever I see Karlie on social media, I have two thoughts: Is there anything she doesn’t do? And where does she get the energy? Karlie is a model, a programmer, an NYU student, she’s training to run a marathon and she has Kode with Klossy, a summer camp where she teaches girls how to code. How the heck she does all this? I honestly adore and admire this woman, whenever I see her face at the mall I literally scream. Oh, and her style? Flawless:

Regarding her makeup looks, Karlie always keeps it simple, a natural look. However, she likes to play with her lipstick and I swear every color looks good on her.

Karlie’s Snapchat and Instagram are 50% of her working out. Who doesn’t love some workout inspiration on their timeline? Karlie is the reason why I started running. While she works out she makes sure she’s dress nicely!

I have a Bralette Addiction

Hello my name is Pilar and I have a bralette addiction. I think it started when I bought a black one without really knowing how it will look. And now they are all I wear, seriously I don’t wear bras anymore. Bralettes are 10 times more comfortable than bras and prettier. When you wear a bra the second you get home you want to remove it, but I could literally wear bralettes all day, I can even sleep wearing one and I wouldn’t mind. They also look amazing with anything, no matter what type of shirt they look great. I love wearing them with a white or see through shirts or with sleeveless shirts so a bit is picking from the side. I feel like they can make a plain outfit look way nicer and a bit sexier.

Here are my bralettes and where I got them:

Hola mi nombre es Pilar y soy adicta a los bralettes. Creo que empezó cuando me compre uno negro sin saber cómo quedaría. Y ahora es todo lo que usó, en serio, ya no uso corpiños normales. Los Bralettes son 10 veces más cómodos y lindos que cualquier corpiño. Cuando usas corpiño el segundo que llegas a tu casa te lo queres sacar, pero podría estar con bralettes todo el día, hasta dormir con uno y no me molestaria. También quedan muy lindos con cualquier cosa, no importa el tipo de remera, quedan bien. Me encanta usarlos con remeras blancas o transparentes o con musculosas para que una parte se vea al costado. Siento que pueden agregarle algo a un outfit normal y  también un toque sexy. Aca está la lista de mis bralettes y donde los compre:

While I was in Europe they had this two pack bralettes (left) and I asked myself, do I really need this many? Yes I did. I literally wear them everyday and I love them so much, they are so comfortable and let you breath for a change (I also have it in black but don’t really know where it is).

The padded Triangle bra was one of my smartest buys. I should have bought 10 of this bras because it is amazing. It is so comfortable and looks so amazing on. If I go back anytime soon to Europe or USA I’m buy this one in every single color.

Cuando estaba en Europa tenían este paquete de dos bralettes (izquierda) y me pregunté: en serio necesito tanto? Si los necesitaba. Literalmente, los uso todos los días, y me encanta, son muy cómodos y te dejan respirar (tenía uno en negro pero no se donde está).

Una de mis mejores compras fue el triangular. Tendría que haberme comprado 10 de estos porque son increíbles. Son muy cómodos y quedan muy bien. Si vuelvo a Europa o EEUU dentro de poco me voy a comprar uno de cada color.

Urban Outfitters had a bra sale earlier last month and I rush to get my hands on some. I picked this two because not only the styles are really nice, they also look like you could wear them with a tight shirt and your bra wouldn’t show. The material is really thin and they don’t really have much support, but they do look really nice with a white t-shirt, especially the black one.

Urban Outfitter tuvo una liquidación de corpiños el mes pasado y corrí a comprarme un par. Elegí estos dos no solo por el estilo son muy lindos, tambien porque si usas una remera apretada no se marcan mucho. El material es muy finito y no tienen mucha contención pero se ven muy lindos con una remera blanca, especialmente el negro.

This is where it all started. I got my first bralette in Forever 21 and every since that I’ve been in love. All of this bralettes are extremely comfortable and support a lot. The pink one is my most recent one but I can’t wait to wear it with v-neck t-shirt.

Aca es donde empezó todo. Mi primer bralette fue de Forever 21 y desde ahi que me enamore. Todos estos corpiños son muy cómodos y tiene mucha contención. El rosa es uno de los más nuevos pero no puedo esperar a usarlo con una remera con cuello en V.

I always joke how this bras are the definitions of comfortable. They are honestly my go to bra for a chill weekend or whenever I’m too lazy to wear a bra (everyday?). They are really comfortable and have a great support. The black one I bought it a year ago and unfortunately the elastic has worn out and expanded but it is still wearable. I do have a hard time matching the orange one, but most time I just don't care and wear it with a white t shirt.

Siempre digo que estos corpiños son la definición de cómodo. Son mis corpiños para cuando quiero estar tranquila un fin de semana o cuando no tengo ganas de usar un corpiño (todos los días?). Son muy cómodos y tienen mucha contención. El negro lo compre hace un año y por desgraciada el elástico se estiró un poco, pero todavía lo puedo usar. A veces me cuesta encontrar con que combinar el naranja pero la mayoría de las veces no me importa y lo uso con una remera blanca.

Fashion to me is a way of expressing yourself, is a different way to show art. And like any art it changes and people are always trying new things. Even though I’m a big believer that fashion should be anything you want, I do love following trends and seeing what people are wearing. La moda para mi siempre fue una manera de expresarnos, es una manera diferente de mostrar arte. Como todo tipo de arte cambia y las personas siempre tratan cosas nuevas. Aunque creo que la moda debería ser lo que quieras, me gusta seguir tendencias y ver que están usando las personas. Me encanta mirar el Instagram y el Twitter de Vogue y leer artículos sobre lo que están usando Karlie Kloss y Alexa Chung. Acá hay una lista de las tendencia de ahora y que estoy enamorada:

Fishnets socks

Where fishnets ever a thing? Maybe in the 90s? Now they are and I’m obsessed. I wasn’t sure how they’ll look on me at first so I was a little bit unsure if I should buy them, but I’m so glad I did. Fishnets socks add a nice touch to a plain outfit or to something casual, they can add a bit of fun. I love pairing them with black pants and rolled them up to show them at the bottom, or ripped jeans to show them through the holes.

Medias red

¿Las medias de red alguna vez estuvieron de moda? ¿Quizás en los 90? Ahora, están de moda y estoy obsesionada. No estaba segura de cómo me podrían quedar a mi entonces dudé bastante de comprarlas, pero por suerte lo hice. Las medias de red agregan algo a un outfit básico o a algo casual, le dan un toque divertido. Me encanta usarlas con pantalones negros y arregamangarlos para mostrarlas o con pantalones rotos para mostrarlos en los agujeros.

Showing your socks

If you are my friend and you are reading this, you are currently laughing. I am the biggest socks collector out there, and I’m not joking. I might have around 20 pair of socks with different drawing (side note: I can show them if you want to…?) and every day I show them excitedly to my friends. So yes, this trend is genius for me. If you wear skirts and dresses they look adorable with sneakers and if you are like me and wear pants, roll them up and show them off!

Si sos mi amiga y estas leyendo esto, te estás riendo en este momento. Soy la coleccionista de medias más grande del mundo y no es un chiste. Debo tener cerca de 20 pares con diferentes dibujos (Si quieren les muestro…?) y todos los días se las muestro a mis amigos. Entonces, está tendencia me pareció genial para me. Si usas vestidos y polleras, podes usar zapatillas con medias y si usas pantalones como yo, ¡arregamantatelos y mostrar tus medias!

Pastel colors

I mentioned in my first post I have synesthesia and this makes me feel pastel colors as something beautiful and peaceful. My favorite music has pastel colors (I am aware this sounds really strange). I love how many outfits I’m seeing in pastel colors, they add such a nice peaceful touch to outfits. But not only do clothes have them, I’m kind of trying to decorate my room pastel pink!

Ps: Pink has been everywhere lately, and I’m digging it!

Mencione en mi primera entrada que tengo sinestesia y los colores pasteles me dan un sentimiento de paz y algo muy lindo, delicado. Mi música favorite tiene color pasteles ( si, se que suena muy raro). Me encanta los outfits que tienen un toque de color pastel, le agregan algo con mucha paz a un outfit. Pero no solo me gusta en la ropa, estoy tratando de decorar mi cuarto con colores pasteles.

Destroyed jeans

Yes, destroyed jeans have been here for ages. But what is really new now is destroying or adding frayed to hem. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of frayed but I do like the idea of having no hem at the bottom is amazing. Also, for us short girl, we finally found a pant that actually reaches our ankles!

Los jeans destruidos están hace años, lo se. Pero lo que está de moda últimamente es destruir el dobladillo o agregarle flecos. No soy muy fan de muchos flecos, pero me gusta la idea de sacarle el dobladillo. Además, para nosotras las chicas mas bajas por fin encontré un par que me llega al tobillo.

Pompoms shoes

I saw a pair of this in Zara while I was in Spain and I was like: do I? Do I? And then i was like: Heck yeah, I need them. I’m glad I did. Having pompoms in your feet adds such a fun touch to an outfit. I love wearing a basic tee and a pair of jeans and then BAM pompoms on my shoes.

Vi un par en Zara cuando estaba en España y dije: lo hago? Lo hago? Y después fue: obvio que si, las necesito. Estoy muy contenta que las compre. Tener pompones en los pies le da un toque muy divertido a cualquier outfit. Me encanta usar una remera básica, jeans básicos y después BAM pompones en los pies.

Styles I love: Hailey Baldwin

I love fashion. And everyone who knows me knows that. I follow every single fashion influencer on Instagram and recently one that has caught my eye is Hailey Baldwin. Hailey makes your comfortable hoodie look perfect for a night out, and who doesn't love being comfortable and warm while out at night? I’ve been piling up hoodies in my closet since following this model in social media.

Me encanta la moda. Todos los que me conocen lo saben. Sigo a todos las influencias de la moda en Instagram y una que hace poco me llamo la atencion fue Hailey Baldwin. Hailey hace que un cómodo buzo parezca perfecto para salir a la noche y ¿a quien no le gusta estar cómoda y no pasar frío a la noche? Desde que sigo a la modelo vengo apilando buzos en mi armario.

Oversized hoodies have been a big trend lately and Hailey is clearly into it. But, again, who isn't? Once fashion has finally decided to get comfy, aren't we all into it? To add a touch of formality to the outfit, Hailey pair the hoodies with either knee high boots. But, if you want to keep it comfy you can pair with sneakers (they are also really in lately, and I am happier than ever).

Los buzos oversize han sido una gran tendencia últimamente y Hailey claramente está de acuerdo. Pero, de vuelta, ¿Quien no? Una vez que la moda decide ser cómoda, ¿No estamos todos al tanto? Para agregar un poco de formalidad al outfit, Hailey lo acompaño con unas botas hasta la rodilla. Pero si quieres mantenerlo cómodo, se puede combinar con un par de zapatillas (que últimamente también son tendencia y yo estoy más feliz que nunca).

Leather jacket are a must in everyone's closets (even if I have to update mine). But Hailey adds a twist to your average leather jacket and uses them in different colors. She is also not afraid to repeat print, check out the first two pictures!

Las camperas de cuero son un si o si de cualquier armario (aunque tenga que actualizar la mia). Pero Hailey le da un pequeño giro, y las usas de diferentes colores. ¡Tampoco tuvo miedo de repetir el mismo estampado, mira las primeras dos fotos!

Not only is leather a must have but so is denim! Denim shorts are the nicest and easiest go to for any summer outfit. Even if you want to keep it formal adding a denim jacket, or oversized coat like Hailey’s gives it a cool and badass look!

No solo las camperas son un si o si, sino que el denim también. Los jeans de short son el mejor y el mas fácil go to para un look de verano. Tambien podes agregar una campera de jean a un look formal o hasta un tapado de jean, cómo Hailey, para darle un look más cool y canchero.

I don’t think anyone understands my excitement when I first saw this shirt. It’s just genius and I get so many compliments. I felt like this outfit was perfect for a nice dinner with friends or something a little bit more relax than a night out. I wore it while it was in Asuncion last time, so it was way warmer than it is here in right now. It is still cold here in Buenos Aires but as soon as the weather gets warmer I’m planning on wearing it again to dinner with my family or friends.

Creo que nadie comprende mi emoción cuando vi esta remera por primera vez. Es genial y muchas personas me la han elogiado. Creo que es el outfit perfecto para salir a cenar con tus amigas o algo más tranquilo que una salida a un boliche o fiesta. La use mientras esta en Asunción, la última vez que estuve ahí, así que hacia más calor que ahora. Todavía hace frio acá en Buenos Aires pero cuando este más cálido el clima planeo usarla de vuelta para una cena con mi familia o amigas.

Style inspiration: Cara Delevingne

I’m sorry for the delay posting this, I never find time to write and I hate doing things in a rush. Anyways, I think I love Cara ever since she become a well-known model in 2012 and now that I’ve seen her in Paper Towns I love her even more. But, other than being an amazing actress (I’m dying to see Suicide Squad) and model, Cara has an amazing style. Her red carpet looks are usually amazing but her street style is my favorite. I love how she wears beanies and leather jacket, reminds me a lot of how I like to dress. She has that tomboy look but also extremely stylish. I have to be honest her airport look just looks so comfy, might steal some of that whenever I have to travel next.

Perdón por tardar en subir esto, nunca encuentro tiempo para escribir y odio hacerlo apurada. De todas formas, la amo a Cara desde que se hizo una modelo conocida en 2012 y ahora que la vi en Paper Towns la amo todavía más. Pero, además de ser una gran actriz (muero por ver Suicide Squad) y modelo, Cara tiene un gran estilo. Sus looks de la alfombra roja son muy lindos pero su Street style es mi favorita. Me encanta como usa gorritos y campera de cuero, me hace acordar a como me gusta vestirme. Tiene ese tomboy look pero también con mucho estilo. Tengo que ser honesta su look de aeropuerto parece muy cómodo, capaz lo robe la próxima que tenga que viajar.
