February Favorites

Another month of 2016 has come to another, way too fast. I hope you enjoyed my little reflection from my last post, I’ve been planning it all month and I was so excited to post it. Other than those things that I’ve mentioned in my post, there are some things I’ve been enjoying  from make up to a TV show I watched when I was way too young to get it.

   1.    Mac Lipstick in MAC Red

I’ve been wanting a red lipstick for a while now but I never really dare to buy it because I did not know how it would look. When I tried this one after my dad gave it to me for my birthday I feel in love. I felt pretty Taylor Swift when I wore it, an effect that only MAC can give you to be honest.

  2.    Haute & Naughty Mac Mascara in black.

My makeup got stolen in December and I was really needing a new mascara since I kept stealing my mom’s, she owns this one and I loved it, so my dad got me this one as well. I’m so in love the way this mascara makes my eyelashes and I love how you have two wands so you can have either voluminous or define eyelashes.

  3.    Mac PowerPoint Eye Pencil in Engraved.

I love wearing eyeliner, I can’t go out to parties or clubs without it. But I always have trouble since by the end of the night you can see the eyeliner smear all over my face. However, this eyeliner is clumsy me proof.

  4.    Mac Matchmaster Concealer

It actually runs in my family to have bag under my eyes, that and the fact that I barely get any sleep, this is a lifesaver. My concealer also got stolen so I asked my sister for this one while she was on vacation and I love it. Not only the fact that is a bar is amazing but the way it works, just makes wonders. Also, they have so many different tones.

  5.    Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream

Although this one is a little bit darker than my usual tone I think it is amazing for the summer, where you might want to look a little bit tanner. I adore BB Creams, and after a friend told me to get Maybelline I begged my mom to try and find it while she was in the US. This one leaves your skin so hydrated and so smooth, it’s perfect to wear it all day.

Not only the design is really cute but I love the size and shape of this one. I love how all my makeup fits there perfectly and whenever I have to travel or go somewhere I can just grab that and take it with me.

  7.    Spotlight

Every single second of this movie I was focused on the screen, and that is hard for someone like me. Maybe it was because I want to be a journalist and do this kind of work but I couldn’t turn my eyes away. This movie is genius (it did win the Oscar for best movie), I love how it shows you an issue that many people turn their head away from. This is a movie I highly recommend to watch for anyone, but really, if you want to be a journalist this is a must watch.

  8.    Blue Neighborhood by Troye Sivan

No surprise here, another Troye Sivan album out, and it is added to my favorites. I’ve been listening to this album none stop, I listen it while I’m working out, while I take the dog for a walk or when I’m studying, it is just an album to do anything. Last week he released his Youth music video and I loved every single second of it, because it is my favorite type of music video.

  9.    Gilmore Girls

Oh yes this is an old one. I remember my sister watching this when I was younger and now that is on Netflix I decided to watch it as well. It is one of those shows that every girl needs to watch, like Gossip Girl. Just amazing.

  10.                      Looking for Alaska by John Green

Lastly, this book. I read it when I was 16 and I really loved, and now reading it again four years later I just remember how great it is. It reminds me a lot of The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, so of course I’m a big fan. I simply adore the way John Green writes, everything he writes I feel in love. And I love the fact that is the 10^th Anniversary edition.

     1.  Benefit - They're real! Push-UpLiner - Lash-Hugging Gel Liner Pen Eyeliner

HelloOctober recommend this one in one of her videos but in purple and I really like the way her make up look. I want to teach myself how to winged eyeliner but I first new a better eyeliner for that. This one sounds like the perfect one, plus I only hear amazing things about Benefit.

    2.   NAKED Eyeshadow Palette from UrbanDecay

I’ve been wanting this palette for so long. I was going to buy it on my last trip to the US but it is a little bit expensive. I love the colors it has and the great variety, this are basically all I use. I like to use a more natural look so casual event but when I go out at night I enjoy darker look and this one basically has all of that. Maybe, next time I’m in the US I’ll check it out!

I really love Essie nail polish and I can’t wait to go back to the USA to buy more and more. Every time I go I come back with a new Essie nail polish, I think next time I’ll come back with at least 10. I’ve been really liking pastel nail polishes, and Essie has the prettiest color, I just want them all.

It’s no secret that I’m a big mac lipstick fun. Ever since bought my first one I’m obsessed and I want to keep on adding more and more. I love how they look on my lips, I honestly think they are the only lipsticks I can wear now. And yes, most of them are Matte because I'm extremely in love with Matte lipstick

I was going to buy the purple one last time I went to Asuncion but they didn’t have it anymore so I settle for a reddish one, which I’ll show you later.

March Favorites

Can you believe I’m writing March favorites? This officially means March is almost over! Anyways, here are what I’ve been loving this march. I’m surprise which how much beauty stuff I have since I never have Beauty things related haha.

1.       Mac Concealer. I’ve been wanted Mac stuff for years now and I finally got my hands to this one while I was in Paraguay. This concealer is so good, for the bags under my eyes which I have more often than you would think. It was my first time trying concealer and I was really happy with the result.

2.       The Body Shop BB Cream. I think this was in my January favorites as well but I’ve been using it almost every day now to go to school, I love the color that it leaves my skin, making it look more alive and more hydrated.

3.       Essie all in one. I now this was also in my previous favorites, but I had a little incident this month where I broke one of my nails and this really help to grow it stronger and helped me fix it.

4.       Revlon by Marchesa brushes. After I bought the concealer I knew I needed some brushes to apply it, so I bought this brushes at the airport in Argentina. They are so good for the concealer and the BB Cream.

5.       Diva by Mac Lipstick. My first Mac lipstick and I can’t believe how much I love it. I love the color, I love that is Matte, I love the way it makes my lips, the shape everything about this.

6.       Teen Angst? Naaah… by Ned Vizzini. I saw this book and it reminded me of The catcher in the Rye and even though I haven’t read much (thanks school) but I really enjoy it. Is not quite as much as the Catcher but I like it.

7.       The Imitation Game. I really really enjoyed this movie when I saw it earlier this month. I was truly fascinated by everything. I love Keira Knightly and it was my first time seeing anything with Benedict Cumberbatch and I now understand why everyone loves him-

8.       VSCOcam. I love this app. I saw a blogger recommend it to edit photos and I’ve been using it so much lately. I edit most of my pictures here.

9.       Candy Pop Instax Mini Film. I really liked how my Polaroid’s turned up with this Film. I think it makes them even cuter and I really want to buy more theme related film.

10 Things that Made me Happy this Week!

Its march! Can you believe it? College starts soon, exciting yet terrifying! Anyway, this is what I’ve been up to this week and what made me happy.

1.       Back in Asuncion. Oh how I was missing the hot and humidity of this city. Not really. I was more like missing my friends and some place here and there. But defiantly not the weather. Still I’m happy to be back to this city.

2.       Seeing friends. It was so nice having lunch with my friends. I had miss them so much and spending time with them make me extremely happy.

3.       Visiting my old school. I went back to school for a few minutes! I visit my math teacher from 9^th grade to 11^th grade, and she was happy to see me and know my IB grades. Also pick up my grades and saying hi to a few teachers and friends from other grades.

4.       Spending time with mom. With my younger siblings in school I spent a lot of time with mom running errands or going to the mall which was really nice to be with her, since I won’t’ be seeing her for another month.

5.       Massage. I never thought I’ll ever get a massage, but I did! And it was really nice, extremely relaxing and refreshing.

6.       Proud of my friends. This week I realized how proud of my friends I am. Some are already in college, getting their acceptance letter, and others are getting job which make me so proud to see them going somewhere.

7.       Soccer game. My friend and I went to see a soccer game from our old school and al thought we felt way too old, it was fun and it felt like old times.

8.       MAC. Yes I got some MAC products and I’m so happy. I’ve wanting MAC products for a while now and now I finally have them and I love them so much. Promise to write more about them.

9.       Going to a bar. On Monday my friends and I went to a bar, which I really enjoy. I don’t drink but still being there it’s so chill and nice especially when you are with good people and those you haven’t seen in a while.

10.   New schedule. Last week I got my college schedule, and it was exhausted, staying every day from 9 to 16 or 15? But apparently Monday I’m only going until 13.15 which is a nice start to the week.
